WordPress: what is the difference between events save_post and wp_insert_post?

Hello!

Please tell me what is the difference between events save_post and wp_insert_post?

I assume save_post only works for one of the two events - save OR update, and wp_insert_post for both at the same time?

Is that right?

Solution
save_post Event triggered whenever an entry (post, page) is created or updated, even if you publish using the import xmlrpc or email.

wp_insert_post - Event triggered whenever an entry (post, page) is updated
Hello! If you is not difficult, prompt, please, a generic event, triggered and when you first save the recording and its further updating. (save_post only works or - or) Thanks! - sheldon_McCullough16 commented on June 26th 19 at 14:03
No wonder these two hooks. Hang one and the same function on both - kallie20 commented on June 26th 19 at 14:06
