How to overcome the limit of 256 characters in MySql query result?

I have this line in the query on the website:
GROUP_CONCAT(DISTINCT CONCAT ("<a href="\""," `gamelinks`.`link`, "\" target="\"_blank\"">", `gamelinks`.`text`, "</a>") SEPARATOR "<br>") AS `links`,

So a set of links from the DB for each game, and it worked fine until one game the number of links does not become so that the total text of all links exceeds 256 characters, in the end, all newlease the symbols began to recline. How to get around this limitation?

Solution
Setting group_concat_max_len, and maybe after you will need max_allowed_packet

Comment on whether or not I better not.
And what of expediency? Just now solved the question of whether to abandon GROUP_CONCAT? There can be pitfalls? - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:13

Solution
in the config file my.cnf or my.cfg file from MySQL
in the section [mysqld](after this line)
list
group_concat_max_len=15360
That was about as
[mysqld]
group_concat_max_len=15360

also, the way spike. Do sub-queries, the result cache is on the side of php(or whatever you use).
Use the database only for data access should not be placed on the DBMS job JAP.
Unless the subquery is not slower? - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:15
: you have a very strong need for speed? - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:18
: this is a huge table in admin interface with auto-refresh on each change. Load decent. - jadyn15 commented on June 26th 19 at 14:21
: change the architecture of the admin, don't get all the links for each game from the table, make their pozarska clicking on any button in a table using ajax, split it into parts controls, it is possible to be even easier than in your version. - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:24

Don't you think a terrible crutch to generate links that way?
Not easy to put this task in php
As I understand it will be very suboptimal, to do a subquery for each row. Am I wrong? Just was always taught to avoid subqueries. - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:17
Why do subqueries?
Make the most complete sql query with data in php and already process it and create links. - loren.Rutherfo commented on June 26th 19 at 14:20
