How to work with code in Unity3D on Ubuntu?

Hi all. The situation is this: was installed on the computer, Elementary OS, which was installed Unity3D (via .deb file, not via Wine). Immediately the question arose of the source code editing: just monodevelop will not run (.Net core set), and how to change the environment in visual studio code I don't know. Rather about the Edit-preferences-external tools I'm well aware, but don't know which file in there you need to select and where to get it. Interested in the answers to the following questions:
1) How to resurrect MD?
2) How to get Unity3D to open the scripts through the VSC?
3) What are other methods of scripting with Unity on Ubuntu systems you might suggest?
Satisfied with the answer to any of these questions. Thanks in advance.

Can try Rider. What mistakes have MD at startup?
The problem is that there are no errors at startup no. Nothing happens, just ignore. - Unique.McClure commented on June 26th 19 at 14:26
