Want to make your distribution of linux based on an existing one?

There is a distro porteus linux. I liked it very much and I enjoyed it for about a year until the laptop was not the hard drive. But the kernel and some packages are a bit old, but relevant. Want based on this distribution to do a version with the latest kernel and software. What I need to do? Cut from the distribution of references to the word "Porteus" and specify somewhere(where?) my distro is based on "Porteus".
PS: Ask about "Bolgenos" not to joke))
PS2: Linux and Open Source is created-that-be if a person is not satisfied with something, he takes all necessary and sculpts in a heap. So probably, and distributions are made.

So you have already solved all the problems to create their own original distribution?
It you have unique and worthy of its own name?
And a little is left? To rename?

There are detailed instructions already.
Look for the phrase BolgenOS
