How to reduce server response time (request, Node.js)?

On the website example.com (example) a rest api. At example.com/data you can retrieve data (e.g. json).
At the request of the browser (go to url), the response time is ~200 ms, but when the request comes from the node, then the response time more than a second.
How to reduce the response time from the node (ideally to browser time)?
What headers are important to reduce query time?
Does the User-Agent?
Can I send the request like it is from the same domain (exmaple.com) and will this affect response time?

Would love to hear a more detailed version of your answer.

But it seems caching is not suitable for this task, because it uses the https Protocol. - cecilia18 commented on June 27th 19 at 15:29
