It is better to choose to monitor a VPS?

Hello. There is a need to obtain data on the load and uptime of a VPS, but you need to have this data sent to another server, such as a conventional Shared hosting, where will page with graphs. I do not need the offices of intelligence, a lot of graphs and stuff. You just need to send data about the current load and uptime on the other hosting.

What can solve my problem? Desired a simple and free solution. I Use Debian 8. Looked at Munin, but don't quite understand, do I need one or not...

If it is absolutely stupid graphics, then MRTG with SNMP (if the load is not needed, without SNMP, the usual popinga enough). Here, for example.
If a little more serious, then Nagios. Habré ton of articles.
Zabbix is just here that the offices of intelligence, a lot of graphs and stuff :) I would not recommend it, especially under a single server.
Munin itself did not use, but judging by what you tell me is also a good fit.
No, You don't quite understand. I will do a little study on virtual hosting, I thing from a VPS just to settings date-setting, everything. I don't really get that from a large number of system suits me. On a VPS, VESTA CP is, you should try to PEEN to send data to the right place? The data it collects in the panel... - Lavada_Green51 commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:41
Have not seen Vesta, so it's hard to say, but most likely shaman will have many. I would monitor server (Yes, there shared hosting is not enough) set up Nagios with nrpe and nrpe-server on your VPS and collects statistics separately from the panel. - Golda_McLaughli commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:44
: and as for shared hosting to put a full Linux package ? Shared typically provides only lamp. - bella_Gorczany commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:47
: Shared hosting just receives status data remotely, all - Lavada_Green51 commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:50
and you gathered this as to make ? If you use nagios, then charade should be nagios-server and nagios-nrpe-client.Same thing in principle with munino. On charade it is impossible to do.If you just want metrics, then the easiest option to write on the side shared by page API that would accept metrics from the server and to write for example in mysql. On the server side to write a bunch of scripts, gathering metrics (the easiest way in bash),as they say "from a shit and sticks",which korlam will results to send to the API. Another more elegant option is to run on the server and the nrpe-server and nagios3-server,it to describe rezalty checks in a request to the API on charade. But if you are unfamiliar with nagios - it will be difficult. - bella_Gorczany commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:53
I wrote that shared will not be enough. The data, according to the vehicle can be retrieved from the CP. So there are 2 options: the normal hosting monitoring, or to write something yourself. - Golda_McLaughli commented on July 2nd 19 at 13:56
