RegEx: Select everything between two characters?

Suppose that we are given a file with the following content
{0}{5}
{1}{dfdf}
{2}{pair pair pair PA&PA®}
{3}{dfdf!}

regex {([\s\S]+?)} highlights together with braces, how to exclude the brackets leaving just the content?
