Software vs hardware RAID NAS4FREE?

Hello!
There's a server on SuperMicro X8ST3-F with a Adaptec A5805. On a server at the moment to spin nas4free for household needs. The question arose what should be done to raise adaptec'on a hardware RAID or a software zfs in nas4free? Currently, there is a hardware RAID 6 on 5 disks. I understand that in nas4free I can formatnut ready raid in zfs and use, but interested in what will be more reliable in this context hardware and software.
The NAS will be used as filipovica, torrent server, media server.
Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

Solution
I for ZFS for reasons of its additional functionality. If it is not needed - hardwarei ride will be less surprised when in service.
But if hardwareii in ZFS? Or I thus lose the extra buns? - nikita.Stracke commented on July 2nd 19 at 18:19
: lose RAID-Z at least - Adrienne81 commented on July 2nd 19 at 18:22
: Lose decent performance. It is highly recommended not to mix Hardway RAID and zfs - Jensen.Rosenbaum commented on July 2nd 19 at 18:25
: : Thank you very much for the replies. Eventually killed RAID6 on the controller and created a pool on a raid-z2 of the five discs. - nikita.Stracke commented on July 2nd 19 at 18:28
