Why Chrome normally uses more than 1 Gigabyte of RAM?

Why Chrome uses a lot of memory in RAM and CPU resources?
I have a fairly powerful mobile i5 6 generation. The map is not a game, but not built in. Some sites just slow. The system is not been raised.

Because it is in principle very voracious, and will eat as much memory how much is, especially given the love ever keep unnecessarily exposed dozens, if not hundreds of tabs.
I use a optimized fork of Chrome, Slimjet - https://www.slimjet.com/ru/ portable х32битную version, 2 tabs - 5b548ff4bea0b092685005.jpeg
