Can Windows 7 work normally under these characteristics of the PC?

Includes system unit, inside the CPU, Intel Celeron E1200 (1.6 GHz), 2 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
Tell me, please, is it possible to normally running Win7 with such characteristics?
Earlier OS's worked more or less tolerably, later rearranged several times OS (different assemblies) now slows when performing basic tasks so that the use does not actually make sense to them. I cleaned it without removing the cooler from the CPU, the temperature of the cores of ~40 C. the system unit is old enough as well.
Surely with such characteristics to look only in the direction of the light is a unix-like distributions?
This PC is only needed to use office programs and surf, I would like to get a more or less comfortable performing on it at least of such tasks.
Thanks in advance.

I advise you to check the hard drive. Slow old or just die hard - the main cause of brakes lately.

Windows 7 on such hardware is a smart go, but only 32-bit. For 64 bit you need 4GB or more.
I agree, check the HDD.
PS the bit width of the system does not affect how much it needs memory. But 64 bit is better. - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:17
2 GB of RAM to put 64 - really do not respect themselves. - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:20
look , please.

Looks like no obvious problems

what relationship has the length of the addresses to the RAM? - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:26
more length and teams - more consumption!
Even if you do not take up disk space and volume of distribution, many libraries there are in two versions - 32-bit And 64-bit. Mechanism WoW.
All variables are now 32-bit and 64-bit. This usually increases the amount of applications and drivers by 20-40%, which leads to a corresponding increase in memory.
And disk space is more.
The distribution itself weighs significantly more! - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:29
kind of OK, but the drive is slow.
Chipset what? AHCI support? The SATA driver is? - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:32
it is like over there, get a increase, "related" costs of resources, thank you. - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:35
,
what has the length of the addresses to the RAM?
In principle, no.
Only on x64 systems to more overhead, in particular the addresses are longer, and it consumes a bit more memory. - earl.Weissnat commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:38
By the way, if your computer supports AHCI it is better to include.
Helps the hard disk.
Noticeably faster than the IDE mode. - earl.Weissnat commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:41

Can Windows 7 work normally under these characteristics of the PC?
Yes, it can.
But Windows 7 only.

later move the OS several times (different builds)
Builds better not to use it.

with such characteristics to look only in the direction of the light is a unix-like distributions?
They will work just as well as Win7

This PC is only needed to use office programs and surf
Office programs will work - not very fast but tolerable for the most part.
But no surfing - for modern browsers we need at least 4GB of RAM, otherwise the brakes.
In the end, the system you have will work fine, but applications, especially browsers.

Add memory up to 8GB (well at least 4) and be sure to put the SSD under system.
And all will fly.
The card can be thrown out, it is for such tasks is not needed.

The amount of memory need 4GB (better 8GB)
The CPU loading in the browser is high, you need CPU minimum Intel i3 (i5 is better)

Here and set it soft-age. XP, 2003 office update for formats 2010, Chrome latest for XP version.
Correction:
- in 2010 formats have not changed, it was in 2007
- Chrome is better not to put (no, never, Yes), it is better to put on the basis of Chromium and, for example SRWare Iron, and still have Firefox, more browsers based on it (Gecko), for example, fine Pale moon aka PaleMoon direct sharpened on weak Atom processors and Windows XP. - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:23
only the best in the download page. Direct link (for me) wouldn't start. - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:26
Link corrected. Forgot that the support ended, and the page is closed (but not all). - nikita.Stracke commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:29
Here and set it soft-age
And preferably go with him to the sites of the same age.
So without a lot of JS scripts on the page. - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:32

For the seven iron is not chic but not garbage, now there's a laptop with 2GB and sell atoms from the 10th on Board and normally, hedgehogs gnaw a cactus but suffer :)

And about brakes lately - check hard, it looks bad.

The problem is not that the drive is bad - it just can't cope.
HDD is very slow in itself.
And disk requirements all increase. - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:28
the easiest way to check the adequacy of iron to the OS used is to pull out the slow stuff and it's screw.
Shove the ssd, put system, if all okay then take a decision on the replacement of the screw or leave it ssd (always ends up last).

There is no way to get old hardware for modern tasks and nikopeyki not invest. - nikita.Stracke commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:31
Ah, would the SSD still :D

I agree completely, of course, not talking very much about the current task, but I want at least some use to find this instance. Upgrading did not think much, because all of the iron inside old, through my mind looks like the upgrade is not very helpful - Jamison4 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:34
hdd is not an upgrade, hdd is a consumable. - Jarred.Gleason51 commented on June 3rd 19 at 19:37

Should all work like a watch. Try to put a build of win 7 without any "bells and whistles" . You should still check the hard drive. I have roughly the same costs PC at the moment. Works shustrenko. With 2010 office. After installation, optimizing performance. Graphics in the settings switched to performance. Off not exactly I need service. On the disk allocate a sufficient place. 20-30 GB should be always left after installing Windows and the rest. The browser is Opera , old , works quickly. If You need to surf and look at the players with the html5 , then I put just a modern version. If problems arise, it trial natural.

No.

Very little memory. It will be all hell to brake. On computers of this age need to put only the software compatible age - modern software on such a monster already not designed, especially the browsers, which is already almost a mini-OS.

Add memory to at least 4G. Well, if XP absolutely do not want (for obvious reasons) is to put only the official build (can even to share - honest Russian seven, with all the holograms, but without a number essno), after the installation manually to decimate services that are not needed (for which you will have to Google it). And just forget about the latest versions of browsers and software. Only the soft not older than 2010.

32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor* 1 GHz or higher.

1 GB (for 32-bit processor) or 2 GB (64-bit CPU) RAM.

16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) free hard disk space.

DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 driver or later.

Additional requirements to use certain features:
  1. Internet access (fees may apply).

  2. Depending on screen resolution for video playback may require additional memory and a more modern graphics hardware.

  3. For optimal performance, some games and programs might require a graphics card compatible with DirectX 10 or later versions.

  4. For some features Windows Media Center may require TV tuner and additional hardware.

  5. Technology for Windows Touch and tablet PC requires special equipment.

  6. For HomeGroup requires a network and PCs with Windows 7

  7. To record a DVD and a CD-ROM drive requires a compatible optical drive.

  8. BitLocker requires trusted platform module TPM 1.2.

  9. BitLocker to Go requires a USB flash drive.

  10. For Windows%%amp;#160;XP requires an additional 1 GB of RAM and 15 GB of free hard disk space.

  11. To play music and sound require audio output.
The graphics and features of the product depend on the system configuration. Some features may require additional or more modern equipment.

On computers with multi-core processors:
Windows 7 is designed to work with modern multi-core processors. All 32-bit versions of Windows 7 support up to 32 processor cores, while 64‑bit versions up to 256 cores.

Computers with multiple processors (CPUs):
Commercial servers, workstations, and other high-performance computers can be equipped with multiple physical processors. Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise and ultimate support two physical processors, providing maximum performance on such computers. Windows 7 starter, Home basic, and Home premium will only define one physical processor.

* Previous versions of Windows, including Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 installed on computers with new processors and chipsets from manufacturers such as Intel, AMD, NVidia and Qualcomm are supported with limitations. For more information, see the Lifecycle support: questions and answers.
