Working with date in oracle using pdo and mysql. How?

Good afternoon.
Faced with the problem.
In the project we use two databases - oracle and mysql.
There is a request for update of the form:
"Update table set date1 = :date where id = :id"
Depending on certain conditions a request can fly like in mysql and oracle.
But, the date format in the databases are different, respectively, the value date, which works in mysql does not work in oralce and Vice versa.
How can I solve this problem?
Work with the database via pdo.
Thank you.

Describe the conversion date as stored function and use a single standard.
UPDATE `table`
 SET `date1` = MY_SUPER_COOL_FUNCTION_FOR_DATE_CONVERSION(:date_in_my_cool_format)
 WHERE `id` = :id;
