Are there advantages of MacBook keyboard?

1. I use Linux long time ago
2. The main development environment Sublime/Vim
3. Looking for a lightweight laptop/ultrabook for work, up to 15 inches, with aluminum or so corps

Interested if anybody had experience of the transition from the usual layout (ctrl in lower left corner, ctrl-right) to the layout of the MacBook (fn instead ctrl, right ctrl is missing many keyboard shortcuts using the apple button)
and what can you say in favor of the effectiveness of this layout. (reducing auto-comment lines ctrl+/, tab blocks of text ctrl+[ or ctrl+] sublime on a classical keyboard, etc.)

All attempts to use new combinations seem to me a very great perversion, one hand combination is not pressed, stretching far and proimity sometimes two hands needed. A matter of habit of course, but is it worth it?

Develop exclusively server-side software, so that the ide does not offer, most of the time is spent in the console or okolonosovyh applications.

P/s is there any sane counterparts MacBook with classic layout? Eye on the dell xps 13 developer edition, which in the afternoon with fire not find.

Everyone who switched from PC to Mac.

1. Personally, I did not notice any problems during the transition. Besides a matter of habit.
2. You can create your own layout and set it in the OS.
3. Some keys can perempat means Mac OS.
4. There are all sorts of programs to remap and create a hotkey (without creating your own layout) (BetterTouchTool, Karabiner, Seil).
5. In Vim, in that Sublime it is possible to customize goteki.
6. The fn button only be used in combination with the buttons F1-F12 (for volume, backlight, etc.)
7. It will be convenient or not - still individually.
