How to refactor CSS code?

Generally the customer is asked to refactor the CSS file (template for WP), which to me trogele well, probably at least 10 different Indians, which features and bugfix riveting one up a different. Because of this, there is a complete PCN. Its work I want to do, but again, in a manual rewrite and lay out 3-4K lines of code is also not very desirable. Are there any ways to optimize this process?

Automation can only offer a Firefox plugin to remove unwanted styles:

The rest should be done by hand.
