Is it worth to buy MacBook Pro 13 128gb 2017 for backend and mobile development?
There is a need to purchase a second home computer. Requirements are: portability, performance, reliability, need for developing, not playing.
Develop for Android, Java backend based on Spring. Constantly have to start the server on Tomcat, idea, Android Studio, emulator, browser with bunch of tabs. I have a 15-inch laptop full hd with 8 gigs operative, i7 proce, HDD, no SSD. With difficulty, but it seems to cope. Revising and re-reading a bunch of stuff, stopped for MacBook Pro 13 128gb 2017.
To cope whether MacBook Pro 13 128gb 2017. with active mobile and backend development(Java, Spring) and maybe a little bit frontend?
Maybe there are equivalents on Windows but cheaper?
Enough 128 gigs?
Should take 2018го year 13ку, there is fixed the keyboard, but the versions tachbrook i5 is more powerful than top i7 in 15ках 17th year! Then certainly is more than enough!
And about the SSD, I personally for web development happy with it (before it was 13ка 15th year at 128).
You need only be sure to buy or timecapsule, or some sort of USB HDD for backups and storage of files. As for the cloud.
I've survived with 128 Gb system with all the software weighs 40-50 GB (even with cache browsers).
Project (site) - weighs a maximum of 200MB, with models - I had a maximum of 3GB (even a video animation, go 2GB of them). Because think for yourself. You can store a minimum of 100 projects on the Mac. But I'm on the Mac store and current commissioned projects in a month/two is sent to the archive on disk. For example I now have 256 Gb free of them 170, I have a couple of virtuallock Windows is on the Mac, they occupy about 30 GB)

Judging by how often the Toaster asked a similar question, not worth it.

Come on a 13' screen to program it's masochistic. I'm after a 24' monitor to a 15' laptop cannot get used to it.

Better get yourself an SSD, I'm telling you, the laptop 4 cores 8 gigs, really stupid was, but now I have no problems with performance, but the 128 gigs on a MacBook you only have enough for surf and the backend. Frontend apps guzzle a lot of disk space
Neither and plug yourself even 8гигов and will you Zver, not a laptop.
Now I have opened Storm, Virtual Box, Vagrant, Chrome (which a plate is it on the HDD), animations on Windows 10 at maximum speed and not a single brake, run for 10 seconds, then immediately you can run and it will open
P. S. If there's somewhere to attach it is best to fork out for a SSD NVMe
If one laptop in the family already has, but for normal work you still have to connect this Mac to a normal monitor - not easier at all to replace the desktop for twice as less money with similar performance and upgradeable? The combat machine is not for toys easy vpaivaetsja in mini-ITX and space is not. Mouse-Clara to him for change for a Poppy can be purchased very findapersonfree.
At least one screw on a couple of terabytes in the home. Still ever need ;)

1. 128 Gb is definitely not enough. I use a MacBook for the same purpose 140 Gb already left and don't know where.
2. For the same purpose I bought a new laptop 16th year in the budget version of the processor to 2 Ghz for 75 000 rubles. To develop Beck and front is possible, but hard. But it is much better than on the laptop 11th year, which had in the end of the day, be sure to turn off and not suspendit.

at 16-17 years many of the problems people complain about, read reviews, posomtrite reviews, and FIHM make a decision
I would have looked for 15 years or would have waited for that show to 18
13 inches is not enough, at least 15
for your tasks p a good ssd is 256 and operatives 16 (special profit will not see)
