Will it work e-mail, if the site is under ddos attack?

Hello, if I register a mail with your domain name ( let's assume for Yandex) and my site is under ddos attack, will I be able to receive and send letters?
Thanks in advance!

Yes. DDoS attacks resources of the server on which the site is hosted. If the MX record for the domain pointing to Yandex, the postal service will not suffer from attacks on some random server. Everything will work fine.

Yes, email will work because it is not on the target server.
Recommended when using DDoS protection, makes mail on a separate server, because the mail is transmitted records the real IP of the server on which it is located. It is desirable to make the mail to another hosting or server providing mail. If you change only the IP, but leave on the same hosting, you can fill in the channel.
