Javascript framework, beginning?

A question for javascript gurus, please advise which framework is better to start studying. What js framework you can quickly and easily study for small projects? At the moment, I think, I know js, jquery!
If angular, then you need to find out with the first version?
I would be grateful for advice, literature)

1. If you have n version, not when you do not learn the version n-1
2. If there is a mega popular framework, and so is angular - teach and don't look more simple, but no one wants solutions. Master it - rest when necessary, learning is extremely fast.
3. Literature. Suggest to start with of. documentation and guides. Get the basis, then will come the understanding of what literature to read. Literature does not give the basics, rather, it teaches correct solutions, but they are difficult to understand at first.

Depends on your needs. If for small projects - it is likely that more will need the library for binding than the whole framework.
