What is still needed Javascript?

Work in a small web Studio, a typical order: landing pages, corporate websites and the like, but when they are created with the fewest number of Javascript: the appearance or disappearance of blocks, sending the data with Ajax and nothing else. I want to develop in the Javascript side, but is that enough?

Solution
sending Ajax data

If the shipment, receiving can also be done in AJAX, read about SPA applications, more adaptability, do you get to do complex, "rubber" and at the same time, cross-browser interface without JavaScript?

And what about enough, it's a defined task, if you will "sculpt" the JavaScript where it is not needed (at the expense of speed of action, timing performance, etc.) just because you felt like it, though, and you'll develop as a JavaScript developer, but as an employee will be degraded, and it is much more important in life, that is going to degrade as a person in General, so look for the real problem, not suck their finger.
