What to do if the monitor does not correctly detects the screen resolution?

There is a monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440.
Previously worked properly paired with the card Radeon 280x.
But today, the card was replaced by a Radeon HD7870, previously cleaved from the 280x was demolished.
After you install the latest wood HD 7870 monitor resolution is not set above 1920 x 1200 - that is the native image of the monitor stand impossible, as it is absent in the scale of choice.
Reinstallation of fire wood did not help. Manually in tools, card solution isn't to put - swears on unsupported.
Where to dig?

Try uninstalling the monitor driver and reboot afterwards.
