How to work with the database when using Wordpress and GIT?

For a start, tell you how they work now.

1. Hosting deploy git repository and clone it locally.
2. Add WordPress under version control contains all the files except wp-content.
3. While developing the base is located locally, then manually update it on the server.

Well, that is, in General, everything is OK, but so far only work with the database. Usually, the editor fills in the content on a fighting website, and I develop something on a local database. In the end, you get a different version of the database that you don't know how to make friends.

How to Margit database? Ideally, I would like to be able to compare and update only the changed part of the database. Not yet understand in the direction of what technologies to watch.

I see two options: migration and manual synchronization, the migration, you can use phing it has the functionality of migration for work only need of php. For manual synchronization, I use dbForgeStudio, this tool is great for comparing two databases and synchronization capabilities of both the structure and data.
