What to use for email in this situation?
Is your VPS a domain name.
Task:
1. Make letters in the mail(pre-registered) and redirect to the desired address.
For example: test@mydomain.com forward me@gmail.com
2. The authorization option to add account in gmail(settings-accounts and import - send mail as - add. To do this, if I understand correctly, you need to raise the authorization on a separate subdomain(e.g., smtp.mydomain.com)
3. (optional) no emails were not stored on the VPS
For this task to take? In what direction to dig?
Tried with postfix+dovecot, but it does not work 2 point, Google says that the server is not responding. 1 item works.

See settings and postfix logs. If you do not understand - show the piece of log when sending mails to gmail
It all depends on which Registrar your domain zaregan! Some registrars provide this functionality like mail forwarding... Tipo mail that goes to a certain domain (or box in this domain) to send something...
IMHO, this is, I think, is the best solution...
View to the side pdd.yandex.ru / biz.mail.ru / apps.google.com is much easier than maintaining your own server.

But add account in Google can't. The logs are empty. I think I probably incorrectly configured postfix+dovecot. Did Gayda - karina59 commented on July 9th 19 at 12:52
