How to work with oracle db on Mac?

I need to create Oracle (PL/SQL) database, fill it, then make a selection from Java code.
Googled, write that the mac is no oracle distributions, there is an option to install Virtual box on any linux distribution, to deliver an oracle, to create databases, there to fill it.

But how to access this database from the "parent" OS - Mac? and is there any easier ways?

I have a pretty weak Mac, I'm afraid it will be very heavily loaded from the IDE, running Tomcat and Virtual Box from oracle.

I put 10g five years ago on the Mac, it had a little rasp, kernel settings to change, but there were a couple of good guides (one from Alex Gorbachev remember, but all in English) and everything fell without any problems. Still on top, and APEX set. Guides: www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/database-techn...

To use docker.
They even have official ready Docker File and Docker compose on github. https://github.com/oracle/docker-images
