Can I connect 4 monitors to my computer without a discrete graphics card?

Gentlemen scholars,

Want to connect four FullHD monitor to my computer on Debian 8. In view of the fact that we need only edit the 2D graphics, to take the discrete graphics card does not want, besides it is noisy, hot, and may even break. Thinking of taking a mini-PC such as Shuttle XH170. In General, any compact computer, if only it was at least two video output: HDMI - it is connected one of the monitors and DisplayPort 1.2 - it is cascade connected the remaining three monitors (using MST). And maybe only one video output plus DisplayPort 1.2 MST hub on four ports.

Attention a question!
Pull it onboard graphics of any Intel Core i5/7 this configuration? 4K at 60 frames, they just keep. And do I need to pay attention to the chipset? Someone tested or can test this scheme, then please share the results.

Yes. Can. Just check that there is DisplayPort 1.2, not 1.0
Somehow confused in the specs "(1)HDMI + (2)DisplayPort triple independent display support 4K/2K playback
Integrated in CPU". Maybe they offer 3 Monica 3 different port to plug.
Specifically in this case - and offer.
But the questions had just a little more: what percent and what is the chipset for me? By analogy with the IntelĀ® Graphics Controllers and Chipsets that Supp.... Know something about this? - justice96 commented on June 5th 19 at 22:01
I don't know.
My laptop is old Iris 6100. It can 2x 4K monitor. True to 30Hz, but for 2D it is not very critical. - lennie.Beatty commented on June 5th 19 at 22:04
Yes. Can.

No, you can't!

Maybe they offer 3 Monica

And not more than 3. - Lurline commented on June 5th 19 at 22:07
Today well checked. Connected 4 dell U2414H
Using 2 miniDP on the laptop. Each of them fullHD.
Provides 4 screen + native laptop. Iris 6100 - lennie.Beatty commented on June 5th 19 at 22:10
thanks for the experiment. Or maybe this is the reason Iris-e? Like this chip better than HD Graphics of desktop Protsiv. Maybe you have the ability on the same monitors and HD Graphics to check? - justice96 commented on June 5th 19 at 22:13
may iris. But I have 2015.
But check on the desktop will not work. I do not have those at work(. But at home there are so many monitors. - lennie.Beatty commented on June 5th 19 at 22:16
and all 4 independently, Oh, even get 5 pieces, considering the screen of the laptop? Proof or method. - Lurline commented on June 5th 19 at 22:19

Here it says that is not three is the maximum.

I to video walls Matrox only seen. But KC is expensive.

Can use
there are 3 video output, and still have Thunderbolt 3, it is possible via a single Thunderbolt to connect up to 6 displays theoretically.
Using Thunderbolt, you can use HBR2
One 4096 x 2160 (4K) at 60 frames per second (hertz)
One 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 60 frames per second (hertz)
Up to two 2560 x 1600 up to 60 frames per second (hertz), or one monitor up to 120 hz
Up to four 1920 x 1200 up to 60 frames per second (hertz), or one monitor up to 240 hz
Up to four 1920 x 1080 up to 60 frames per second (hertz), or one monitor up to 240 hz
& all lower resolutions and the ones in between. There is a maximum number of monitors that can be connected to any card, so be sure to check in your owner's manual.
& a variety of mix and match resolutions like one 2560 x 1600 and two 1920 x 1080, etc, as long as the total resolution is below the total bandwidth available - justice96 commented on June 5th 19 at 22:05

Conducted an experiment.
Took Gigabyte GB-BSi3HA-6100 Intel Skylake i3-6100U and collected the following scheme:
Mini DisplayPort -> monitor 1 -> monitor 2 -> monitor 3;
HDMI -> monitor 4.
Debian sees all four monitors, but the image is displayed only on the first three (stretched desktop), the monitor 4 in the off state. When you try to turn it on, a message appears that the configuration cannot be applied, the cause is either too high resolution or screens that supports the graphics card.
To test the first theory, lowered the resolution, but the fourth monitor does not turn on.
If you disable the monitor 3, the monitor 4 is turned on without a problem, but the result of a maximum of three simultaneous monitor.
