Why is there little padding between the text?

In General, make a menu, I can not understand why the text is indented. The styles are all disabled! Left the background that have been seen! Your assumption? Also disabled all fonts.

Solution
Because line breaks in HTML collapse into a space. There are several options:
1. To write the tags together one after the other (affected code readability, but who is looking the HTML source of the page?)
2. Immediately after the tag to open a comment before the next tag to close
3. From the parent element to set the font size zero
I honestly for the first time faced with this. I will try your options. - adrienne.Ada commented on September 19th 19 at 00:06

Have you got in the line where the gap wormed. Or between tags.
Try all trok to format and verify.

I just omit the closing tag

So
the <li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li><li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li><li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li><li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li><li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li><li><a href="#">Link</a>
</li>
  • <a href="#">Link</a>

The browser will substitute need, and the space will be removed. Works in all kind. Plus no matter how to write, as a string, or transfer
  • I won't do is allowed, but I make it a rule that all tags be closed. - adrienne.Ada commented on September 19th 19 at 00:10

Advise to use ready-made reset.css or write your own.
    I was hooked
