How to open firmware files from DD-WRT?

I want to modify the default configuration. How do I disassemble the firmware to access the files? And then I realized it also needed to compile?

Sometimes You may need to unzip the firmware, in this case a shell script(extract_firmware.sh) from the kit

Solution

Firmware open is not necessary. Need to download the source, configure the build environment, modify, collect.
