How to resize images with minimal loss of quality using Imagick?

The PHP script that resize images using Imagick library. And this is important - not from the command line and work through the PHP library.

And sometimes you have to reduce the image ten times or more. I can't find any clear recommendations how to do it better. The only thing found, so it is the Council to do the resize in multiple iterations to one iteration no more than 50% decreased.

But the imagick there are several methods of resizing, plus a bunch of options. Maybe there's some blueprints for the web (i.e. it is desirable also to facilitate the image with minimal loss to quality)? Well, if you need to resize 10%, then ask so-and-so options and thinking such methods, but if you need 10 times to reduce, that make one, two, three.

I would be grateful as the links to such instructions and practical tips in the comments

To resize in multiple iterations - special attention is not paid, but in my opinion there is no difference.
Compress mainly through FILTER_LANCZOS, blur 1, the better the quality remained.
With a strong grip to improve visual perception by applying unsharpMaskImage. Settings are selected individually, depending on the size, I have to preview for example (0 , 1 , 1, 0.05)
Thanks for the tips - Summer.Ri commented on September 19th 19 at 12:46
