Please share experience tuning Openmeetings.
There is
such a server with CentOS 6.4. on Board. It set Openmeetings 2.1.1 with MySQL backend.
OM runs as is red5.sh only added the following parameters to JVM: -server-Xmx4096M -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true-Xverify:none
The JVM itself:
java version "1.7.0_45"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_45-b18)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.45-b08, mixed mode)
Interested in two scenarios:
1. The room is 15-20 people, some (preferably many) included video-audio. The room is loaded as an iframe on the moodle page via a plugin for the latter — but it is, I believe, should not play any role. This scenario has already been tried, and in the current setting proved to be very bad — some of the participants often depart, sometimes it happens that the speaker is heard only half of the participants. I sin on bugs in the flash client, but maybe something wrong with the settings? After all, people use.
2. One person included audio and video, the rest just listen and occasionally ask questions in chat or request to include your audio-video. The number of participants is large, hundreds. Not yet tested, but I'm afraid that there will be problems on the current configuration. Has anyone encountered such a scenario?
I would be grateful for any hints how to configure OM and on alternative solutions.
BigBlueButton going to try on the same hardware after a while. We were with him the experience of last year, but a weaker configuration and, moreover, VPSке. Also had some problems, but OM has now shown itself clearly worse. Like to try out BBB on this server, I will unsubscribe about impressions.
And you, if not difficult, write how it is with Webex'om - wayne76 commented on October 3rd 19 at 01:30
I must say that we tried not just Webex. Still tested pretty good service imind.com, webinar.ru and we had the opportunity to drive your Avaya Scopia.
Actually really liked it Avaya, but they do not provide a rent in the cloud, and only sell servers with your IN the price in this case is very snappy, it turns out, you know.
Imind is also good, but no automatic gain control microphone volume, which is very impact on the quality of the conference.
In General, we have stopped on the Webex, we will probably rent from them.
Well, actually, something like that. - Myrtice_Fee commented on October 3rd 19 at 01:33
