Deploying WCF service on IIS

In fact, I wrote a simple service in MS VS 2012 with the 1st function (.NET 4.5). Implementation details should not go, except that I note that when debugging starts WCF Test client, after which everything works fine.

Publish a project, add on the same machine in IIS (6.1, was in components 7) application try to do a review to get that error
HTTP error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The page you requested is not available because of incorrect configuration data for the page.

Configuration error: failed to read configuration section "protocolMapping" because you skipped the ads section
21:
22: <protocolmapping>
 23: <add binding="basicHttpsBinding" scheme="https"></add></protocolmapping>

In fact, essentially all of the standard, but not unfolding. A similar problem was with the service ASP.NET (have not decided)

Solution
1. Try running the command aspnet_regiis.exe -i. Located in the "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319". This will install (reinstall) ASP.NET and related settings.

2. Check in IIS that you have correctly set the server handlers. To do this, in IIS Manager, select your app (or the website or the entire server) and in this section Handler Mappings. Find whether the row for which the column Path set to "*.svc". If not, you have to have hands. For example, for 32-bit systems this will be "%windir%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll". For 64-version or another version .NET path will be approximately the same.

3. View, and included a WCF service in Windows components. For this go to control Panel -> Programs and features -> Turn Windows feature (or somehow so is called). There in sections .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.5 Advanced there are jackdaws about WCF. Turn on.

The idea of these steps may help. If not, look in eventlog, there is sometimes something useful glows.

And set your IIS 7 or even 8 (if you stand on 7ku).
Did the 1st paragraph and, lo and behold, you will see a list of files. When choosing the service it suddenly... started. With ASP.NET I kind of shamanism did not help, I think that will not help here. Thank You. - rozella92 commented on October 3rd 19 at 01:32
