Learning C# and T-SQL

Welcome habracha! Was offered a job of a programmer in C# training in the work process, at the moment, the relation to programming are very mediocre and knowledge in this area are minimal (you can write any simple console application input/output/count anything remember what took place at school), have a General idea about programming in General and OOP in particular, but willing to grow in this area (actually for some time already thinking about how to start learning any language for web programming, choose from PHP Python and C#). In addition to C# is also required to pull knowledge of T-SQL (proficiency they are about the same as the level of programming, ie can write simple scripts, have a General idea about relational database). On probation, in case of making me a positive decision about the job, will be tasked with, which has to be resolved (unfortunately, at the moment, did not specify the task level). My question is: how much really for 3 months (trial period) to brush up (learn) on C# and T-SQL from my level to the level of writing decent apps? Also I would be very grateful for the literature, which recommend to see.

The book is good, no doubt, but the author mentioned that he is a novice not only in C#, but programming in General. - Letha_Runolfsso commented on October 8th 19 at 00:19
Not for the beginner. Very bad advice. Put somebody minus the guy not bought foolishly. In a year or two buy.
And by the way already have the 4th edition. - allene72 commented on October 8th 19 at 00:22

Take a job, suffer, work, plow, learn! Most importantly don't be afraid. After 3 months you will see and if not, then for the next 3 months everything will be much better ;-)

everything is possible)) But will have to toil, to work hard and graft:)
For a start I recommend to buy two books:
Studied C#
and Study SQL. Is 2-3 weeks max.
Rutracker look for videos on programming in C#, see basic things.

Then for the extension krugozora read Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. A good overview of different technologies .Net, there is another error in the source code, but not difficult and will help you better understand the material.

If you know English, more or less, study more training kits:
1. Visual Studio 2010 and .NET Framework 4 Training Kit
2. SQL Server 2008 Developer Training Kit

Only Richter is not necessary to read now, there is a bad translation + such knowledge need then to be.
Study C# and learn SQL really useful book, but difficult to read because of "Trishovich" jokes and pictures. - Myrtis4 commented on October 8th 19 at 00:20

Why not Zharkova? - Myrtis4 commented on October 8th 19 at 00:22
We Podbelskogo led, you can read this book for note-taking lectures. As it turned out later — not in vain.
Of course, after meeting with the basics you need to take a book of the type which is below and preferably in the original. - Letha_Runolfsso commented on October 8th 19 at 00:25

Actually depends on what gap you have from the current level and to what you call "writing tolerable application")
