HDMI->DVI cable

want to buy a TV as a second monitor to display videos from a computer. The video card I have 2 DVI connector(GF9600). Therefore I have decided to purchase a 3M HDMI->DVI cable.
Looked at the abundance of choice and a few puzzled: prices range from 300 rubles to infinity. Because I don't understand, ask for advice on the following issues:
1. What brand and how much(approximately) the price is better to get the cable?
2. Is it possible to buy HDMI->HDMI cable and adapter HDMI->DVI?
3. What could be the problem with cheap cables?

Thank you!

www.3dnews.ru/offsyanka/611567/print — it's a start.
1. Not more than a few hundred rubles, 1000 and more is pure marketing. F-center makes the cables to order, in China, under the brand name Flextron, are very inexpensive.
2. Even more versatile option would be. Though probably more expensive.
3. If you really thrash from the Chinese basement — could be a bad contact in the connectors or a problem with the strength of wires. Also problems can manifest themselves at great lengths(it is better to take active cables, if length >10 meters). For 2-3-5 metres problems practically do not exist.

take HDMI->HDMI cable and adapter DVI->HDMI. when I change the graphics card, and most have HDMI connector built-in, You will have a full HDMI cable->HDMI (video and audio)

When there is the same problem, bought at auction 6m HDMI->HDMI cable and adapter DVI -> HDMI was included with the graphics card.

Took 250 rubles 3-metre HDMI-HDMI adapter DVI->HDMI. Despite the fact that the 3-meter DVI-HDMI the same appearance in another build some completely space 1700rub.

And don't forget to worry about S/PDIF connector to connect the sound to the graphics card. I did it because there are simply no.
Thank you! About the sound: I will use the sound from the computer. - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:36
I do not know the location of the computer relative to the TV, but it's better to fork out for another cable (audio) than to watch TV and hear the sound from outside. this ride only if You hang the TV over the computer - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:39
Maybe we should. Will see how it will show itself. Thanks for the advice. - Elijah commented on October 8th 19 at 00:42

Take hdmi->hdmi. It is certainly smarter adapter to DVI but hdmi will soon supplant the more cumbersome and less versatile (no sound) DVI.

are you sure that your two connectors will be 2 different pictures and not one is the same?
I mean? extended desktop in Windows and the video output to the 2nd part - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:40
I mean in the two video outputs can be the same picture — cloning. - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:43
well, it's already configured in the OS - Elijah commented on October 8th 19 at 00:46
no, you again misunderstood me. Graphics card should have 2 different path output signal. For example, I have a video card with VGA, DVI & HDMI, but DVI and HDMI give the same picture, but VGA can another. - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:49
well, I never even met. All is well with me: bought, plugged in, works. - xander_Kozey commented on October 8th 19 at 00:52

Use a 10-meter cable DVI-HDMI, low-cost (<1000 rubles). First was the HD-ready TV, in the end, the normal picture on it to and failed. Decided that cable reusable. Recently changed TV in Full-HD. Decided once more to try the same cable and it worked perfectly, including sound (do not forget the S/PDIF output the sound from the mother to the graphics card).
