mplayer (specifically mencoder utility), use the console version, support virtually all platforms.
You can still ffmpeg. I, for example, those aliases did:
alias recwebcam='ffmpeg -b:v 1000k -f video4linux2 -s 640x480 -i /dev/video0 -sameq -f alsa -i hw:1,0-f avi '
alias recdesktop='ffmpeg -f x11grab -s 1920x1080-r 8 -i :0.0-sameq '

Under mastbaum and ffmpeg, and mencoder too. - mac_Tremblay commented on October 8th 19 at 01:14

I use the Logitech Webcam Software that came with the camera. I thought that all modern webcam with this software are sold. At least Logitech, some of the Polish is quite old, has served its built into the laptop — all was with the software for recording.
In General, update the OS, under Windows it is possible to use VirtualDub. - mac_Tremblay commented on October 8th 19 at 01:16

I use xsplit
free after registration. Knows how to write video from webcam, but from desktop, you can combine and broadcast online on various resources. All we know and understand.
Thank you. - mac_Tremblay commented on October 8th 19 at 01:22

VirtualDub (I have version 1.9.11)

Done easily:
1. File — Capture AVI.
2. Device — WebCam
3. Video Compression (or hotkey C), if necessary the sound, then Audio — Compression (A)
4. File — Set Capture file (F2)
5. Capture — Capture Video (F5)

To set the maximum size for possible through File — Allocate Disk Space.
The registration Capture — Stop (Esc) or to achieve specified conditions at the Capture Stop Condition.
Thanks for the advice. - mac_Tremblay commented on October 8th 19 at 01:24
