Strange spam

My site recently started to come to the comments strange spam. All messages are of similar nature. For example, the title is "expensive saunas of Moscow" in the body of the message something like "Thank you for your site, very useful resource." And that's all. No references, no contact information. And these comments quite a lot.

The messages themselves are cut off elementary written by antispam, so that problems with contamination of the site occurs. But the question still arises: for what purpose are used the data of creation? Because the use of them in case of publication — zero.

I use WP and it is a feature — Before the advent of the comment Author must have a previously approved comment... That is, if he first commented on the article and you approved his comment, then next time the spammer is already freely can leave comment spam content.

I recommend to try keycaptcha — innovative captcha, where instead of typing letters it is necessary to collect a small puzzle. users are relaxed from spambots saved at all. before using alphanumeric captcha many fought, had to encrypt.
and then even earn offered on the captchas. although I have yet never seemed to paid captcha. probably the project is still in the stage of customers
Me this spam is quite annoying, because it can be cut with antispam. I wrote it myself, the algorithm is simple, but effective. Even the captcha does not use. Perhaps how to write an article about it. And statistics and for the sake of interest, there is a separate table that keeps track of absolutely all the comments. I'm looking it over one eye once a week-a month and clean flick of the wrist. - amely_Fadel commented on October 8th 19 at 01:26

You need to register before submitting reviews? Maybe in the profile under "website" the website put? Quite a method.
My registration is not required and messages are coming from anonymous. - amely_Fadel commented on October 8th 19 at 01:32

Probably just forgot. It happens because, when you write the letter, saying, "see attachment" and attach the file forget. There probably is something similar.
Not really. For many days every day come similar reports. If I forgot something already used corrected. - amely_Fadel commented on October 8th 19 at 01:34

This is the most primitive spambot who are trying to send a request in any form that they find on the website. What is missing is the link to the site itself, most likely due to the fact that it is cut out by the parser during the processing of the form.
Or just the bot does not find a matching field in which he would make his exile, due to the lack thereof in this form. And it would be in the form box, type "Your website" or similar, I think then the situation has changed, and that spam would cease to be weird.

There are certainly other options which may appear strange to want a spammer to cram in a network of certain phrases. A simple example: the desire to displace from top competitor on request "honey saunas of Moscow". And then promote your like "Cheap saunas of Moscow". Easiest to achieve this by posting on multiple rating sites, these phrases, these sites are raising to the top and squeezing it out of a competitor. Method is ineffective, but has a right to exist, as the simple promotion of this query with the aim of increasing the value of its promotion.

One of their resources have a similar situation. Only form I have not comment, and registration. Almost every day I receive a request to register one or two new users with associated data (not people). The bot does not know what the reception is there only after my permission. Just found and fills in the field according to its rules, and presses submit.

Perhaps on this, my website, I will check how the bot behaves when I add to a form field, where he can leave his address. Just curious to try.

After a couple of days I will write about the results of their experiment.

PS And generally it is a simple signal that we often were using CAPTCHA in forms which are available to anonymousl. - amely_Fadel commented on October 8th 19 at 01:36

I also recently had a similar on the website :)
The comments of the same type, like for example "Please teach the rest of these itnerent hooligans how to write and research!", and rained down a stream, and not a word of spam, rather like a senseless flood. However, suddenly appeared and as suddenly disappeared.

I have similar comments instantly appear in the blog when the updated information.
I have a feeling that in this way the spammers are trying to ruin the "evaluation content" in search engines (duplicate, not connected text, errors etc), ie to make a page of garbage.
