The implementation of the home server for photos

The question arose how best to implement storage home photo archive. Now have a nas drive is available 24/7 connected to the WiFi router. Not a problem to watch pictures from a laptop/computer, I want to add here the possibility to watch photos from the TV. Recommend than you can link the TV (HDMI STB?) WiFi router, respectively, with a nas server?

Maybe someone will offer additional software/solution/scheme of interaction between multiple devices, which facilitates the uploading of new photographs, organizing and sorting and output without the need to fold over on the computer, there is sort of scattered on folders of the nas drive?

P. S. Ideal scenario is get the memory card from the camera, connected to any device, all spread on a nas drive, and then from the TV came the ability to view pictures and some simple functions on the organization of the photo archive.

I wanted to see this thing used servercheck on Linux with xmbc shell, and the pictures would sort of script. Basically, if you add to your circuit the computer under Linux, then it can simply mount network NAS'the ball and where to store the pictures. And then of course...
servercheck on Linux with a shell xmbc

That is, if I correctly clearings, that a thread barebone with Linux on Board to connect to the TV? - rogelio83 commented on October 8th 19 at 01:30

If your TV supports DLNA, then the city need nothing more. I have three years worth this Not only photos but also movies and kind of you to listen. And not only on TV but also with mobile and iPad. If the TV does not know about Ethernet or wifi, then there is clearly a console pakanati, since they are now mass. One of the body witvrouw I have the ASUS o play. But she was three, now there are certainly newer and more powerful...
The TV about the new technologies especially don't know. But ASUS on the play, thank you. Looks like just what I need: not a fully functional computer to your TV and gives needed features like. Then the question develops which network media player to select, with sharpened photo? - rogelio83 commented on October 8th 19 at 01:32
You can just write a script that will be inserted pendrive pictures pulling off at the right directories. Additional player You don't need, because ASUS well taking files from network drives and shows them with his player and photo & video. By the way if you stop in ADR, under it, there is an alternative firmware, greatly expanding its capabilities. I have such worth. - chase_Grimes commented on October 8th 19 at 01:35

I apologize for asking in someone else's topic — friends like in your opinion, on the basis of Raspberry Pi good will serwaczak for storage of pictures/movies + torrenticola, with the ability to output content to a TV (via HDMI)? If you just put XMBC-oriented axis.
Interesting idea, but is the game worth the candle? If you like to buy a card "B" (to Ethernet), for example, a wired connection is already there, and for example I would like Wi-Fi and not to pull the cable through the whole apartment, so here plyusuem WiFi module, then to solve the problem of power supply (a power adapter???) + the issue with the case (don't even know if specifically for the Raspberry PI). It turns out at a price comparable to ready multimedia set-top boxes, and maybe even higher. - rogelio83 commented on October 8th 19 at 01:34

I decided this question as follows:
bought a place at Google, filled the pictures in Picasa, on the TV there is an app for Picasa (campaign all the modern "smart" TV's have an app like that, personally I have a Philips 7605) — go into your accompaniment, and have access to my albums.
As a result we have the opportunity to watch your photos from anywhere in the world where there is Internet connection plus the reliability of such a storage is much higher than the screw/disc.
PS of course there is a backup to disc, but their "readability" I haven't checked ))
Now you can even place not to buy — up to 2048 on the longest side — nl. I personally 2048 is enough. Even print 10 on 15 it is possible, if you need me. - rogelio83 commented on October 8th 19 at 01:36
Well unfortunately my TV is not suitable, he can not this without a third-party consoles. - chase_Grimes commented on October 8th 19 at 01:39
information about 2048 on the longest side, thank you, I knew only about 1600. well, maybe for a personal archive of photos from the soap dish and enough, but there is Proff photos that I would like to keep the quality in which they were provided by the photographer. in any case, even $20 a year for 80 gig is looooose not a lot of money, especially when you consider the reliability and convenience of this method of storing pictures. - rogelio83 commented on October 8th 19 at 01:42
