Working with cameras in Unity3D?
Good day, dear harrowdale.
In his spare time poking around with unity, now nothing to do, slowly slap little toy. The question arose regarding the creation of the minimap.
Over a player the camera is mounted, which produces an output signal in the "Render Texture".
This "Render Texture" is assigned as a texture to the object "GUITexture".
In General, everything is fine, the top view is shown, but, for some reason, completely ignored the "Terrain".
That is, the result is a top view of the model of the player on a blue background.
If the output image is simply the cube — it's all right, but the GUITexture is not showing the earth.
The question is, what am I doing wrong?

Very long cut as the subject is associated with Unity, while the tag is not seen.

If the camera is orthogonal (and judging by the screenshot, it is), try increasing the setting Clipping Planes — Far
