In principle, all linux-based live cd loaded on the same scheme: the bootloader (isolinux, grub) > kernel + ramdisk > search bootable media, mount other things (squash image, as for example in Ubuntu).
When you boot via PXE to implement this scheme without dancing with a tambourine will not work.
If you have a fleet of dozens of vehicles, then you will have to run between them with a boot disc/flash drive. But if you have a server and LAN, tedious juggling live-cd can be reduced to pressing a couple of buttons...
