Unison — without any problems sinhroniziruete laptop with Ubuntu and desktop with OS X Lion. Works for the same principle as the famous rsync.
But if you use Windows there probably is something more easier... I chose cross-platform solution. Even better at once to deal with rsync (it has GUI), as Unison is no longer being developed...

To dropbox (not quite sure why it's offer) have used GoodSync.
