Question on wifi and Asus EEE PC 1005PE

A question. Have it in one room Keenetic Lite, my laptop is acer timeline 3820tg reception is good throughout the apartment, with asus eee pc problems... the signal is not very good, the episodes closed door causes a drop in reception quality, and then all is lost network. I can not understand how you can either increase coverage or to improve ASUS... Is available second router dlink di-624 in the closet, but repeater it is not put in terms of fantasy thought to put the wifi module from Benq R55V which is lying disassembled, it is well accepted network also all over the place...

The wood seems like everywhere last openwrt unfortunately none of the routers does not support. I will be grateful for the tips/links, directions in which to dig.

You can change the wi-fi card. I'm on my Vostro 3450 changed some Broadcom on Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230. The speed has increased and is 2-3x a 8-10, full coverage throughout the apartment (before it was at maximum possible distance from the router one or two counts). Before buying, check compatibility.

See what the problem is. Even if you increase the power of the signal in any way, or buy another router that will give a very good signal, your netbook still doesn't work. Yes, the signal will be on 5 sticks, but will not work. Why? Because the antenna in the netbook weak — she catches a strong signal, but its power is not enough to reply back through the walls of the apartment.
Remains to put either a repeater or place the access point/router with wi-fi in the centre of the apartment.
If I can help gain antenna on the router? Say dealextreame see dozens of different antennas with power from 5 to 14 dbi... - Margarita_Bartell commented on October 8th 19 at 03:05
So I wrote that this probably will not help to rectify the situation. Client wi-fi network also needs to have a powerful antenna to maintain contact with wi-fi router/access point.

Imagine two people distant from each other at a considerable distance. One of them is a shout. When the first speaks into the mouthpiece, the second of his distinctly hear. He, in turn, tries to answer without improvised, but the first, which with the horn, can't hear you over great distances.

With wi-fi the same thing — if you put a powerful antenna on one end, take care of a powerful antenna on the other. - jayson84 commented on October 8th 19 at 03:08
OK, I'll have to try to move the router in the center of the apartment. Thank you - Margarita_Bartell commented on October 8th 19 at 03:11
