Good day Habracha! The computer is two HDDs. One of them is installed with Ubuntu 9.10 and another Windows XP. The wind picked up Winlock, which did not allow GRUB to boot (have to be registered in the boot sector of the disk). I fixed Windows with Kaspersky Rescue Disk. The virus is gone, and GRUB started to load but the list of systems to boot, alas, does not appear. Just the words "GRUB _" and silence. He is now writing from the Live CD. How to spice up GRUB? Thank you all in advance.

I guess you will have to deal with Rude. Here everything that was previously hidden from you in the config file, now you just have to drive teams :)
By the way, can help restore your rough with Liv-SD (not Windows, of course). Throw you its archival record:
When you reinstall Windows, or updates to strange, sometimes GRUB stops boot and needs an overhaul. Here's how:
-to boot with a LiveCD (KNOPPIX or other)
to execute commands:
the latter will show you which partitions grub setting for myself (i.e. partitions with Linux will show)
to indicate that the found Linux partition
to install grub to MBR in the specified hard drive
I'd start with which partition is bootable (bootable and has the label).
Another option that can help.
Boot from LiveCD, mount root partition, e.g. /mnt/sda. To mount /boot if it is in a separate section
mount-o bind /dev /mnt/sda/dev
mount-o bind /proc /mnt/sda/proc
And then grub-install
