Among intercalar is very delicious model:
1. a huge (compared to compacts) sensor with a 1.5 x crop factor. As a consequence of the low noise on high ISO (that can compensate for the weak flash).
2. a wide range of native lenses and the ground glass third party (via adapter and without). By the way, from nexow suitable optics and a video camera vg-10. And, you can put the glass from DSLRs Minolta/Sony (via adapter).
3. compact size (unlike SLR with pancake fits in your pocket)
4. good video
However, if you do not hurry, I would advise to wait, because replacing the NEX-3/5 in a short time will come the updated models (e.g., nex-c3), and there are already delicious characteristics.

I also really liked Sonya until you've stumbled on samsung nx.
To take the nx10 with 18-55 — is happy as an elephant :) size a little more, but in the hands is better and flash is.
But if you want a thin camera (pocket) — take a closer look to the nx100.
My sister — Sonya nex-5. You can argue long what they say with a large lens, Sonya looks silly, and Samsung, the color transfer is much better, but essentially the same camera.
I would like to note that my money's worth. The photo quality is really very good.
Still a large sensor makes itself felt.

Himself long hesitated between a DSLR and a superzoom (as such yet was not). In the end we took the Nikon Coolpix P100 superzoom, which I regret because it didn't meet my expectations. Sony Alpha NEX-3\5 interesting just the fact that they use good (as in quality SLRs) matrix. He, unfortunately, this technique didn't work, but look very tasty(a large matrix as a result of lower noise at very high ISO, fast autofocus(again, on level DSLRs), fast continuous shooting(7 fps)). Clear the stump, the possible pitfalls of kotoroya can be found only from specialized forums, or if you personally use that are less than nice.

Tested nexy at the exhibition in St. Petersburg last fall. I really did not like. The impression that you crossed an elephant with a Rhino... Nice optics and zoom, and a pancake, convenient to hold in hand. But the slowness of the camera, and autofocus is not pleased. To menu need long time to get used to. And the price tag... I'd looked towards Sony A55, not so she and larger, moreover, here we can use the whole range of alpha lenses.
Heard positive reviews of people who bought a NEX, so ask and test. Good luck!

Great camera. Like it very much. I have a NEX-5.
Megapixel screen night shooting.
The image quality no complaints.

The model is interesting, if not for a weak external flash with a non-standard connector...

What's the point of this camera??? for its price you can get a nikon d3100, a normal DSLR with a good selection of lenses. For the same as I understand lenses a little, flash custom. In terms of image quality, something I doubt that Nikon is worse. Size — there is a bit of a win at the Sony, but with a lens it is already not so small. And her battery is dead.
