Change the project type in Eclipse

Faced with a vexing problem — when you create a project in cvs, it is just a project and not java project. Ie all the Goodies of autodoplnky in the code is not available.

Tried several times to delete the project and re-pull it from cvs — no result :(

Is there any way to explain Eclipse that is still a java project?

Solution
Had the same thing with PHP and SVN. I have done that. First pulled out the project from SVN by external means (not using Eclipse). Then in Eclipse create a new PHP project and the folder pointed to an existing folder with a long SVN checkout of the project. I think after that, it took a restart of Eclipse to understand what the project is under SVN and then it worked. And auto-completion and menu items for version control. Try.
Yes, it worked. Thank you. - Madelyn.Goyette commented on October 10th 19 at 14:21
