What happens if you disable copy protection [Android Market]

When you publish application in Android market there is an option — copy protection [on/off], which according to the description should not allow the user to remove the phone apk application file.
Of course, when you publish, I have included (and why not, even protects). But it turned out, because this option is part of the phone does not detect my app in the market. Because I want to disable this option.
Question: will not be erased if the data of my app users (SQLite), because the location of the database will be replaced. Has anyone tried, please advise. Do not want to trick users, but to lose part of potential buyers, too.

Answer I have not found, but the experiment showed that nothing had happened.
On my test machine, everything was fine, the database remained intact. And complaints also did not come. - destany_Tromp commented on October 14th 19 at 10:52
