Where did Untraced files in a new project?

Cloned the project ( master) with github using Pycharm (checkout from version control) into a new directory. Doing git status and the message untracked files: .idea
And it makes it difficult to switch to another branch

It's not a file, and the directory that is created by your IDE. Find it in the root of the project file .gitignore and add the following line:
Thank you, and have to be this way /.idea or .idea/ ?
And even if the project have several branches, each branch should have its own .gitignore? - johnathan commented on June 7th 19 at 15:46
can do without slash. About the branches, you each will have their own version. - Lenny.Botsfo commented on June 7th 19 at 15:49
