How to work with GIT via SSH on VPS?

Previously used only shared hosting services.
Today I created a droplet on digitalocean VPS, created my SSH keys and tie the public key to droplet.
On the laptop there is a project on Node.js that you want to fill this with a newfound droplet.
For test purposes create a blank repository on the laptop and an empty repository on a VPS, and I can not catch up, how do I make a push on a VPS or pull out.

On the laptop tried
git remote add origin ssh://root@IP:/projects/project
git push origin master
— received:
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

Please make sure you have the correct access rights and the repository exists.

It is logical that I need to send keys to a successful authorization, but I don't know how to do it.

On the other hand, when you connect to your VPS via PuTTY, where in the configuration window specify the path to the private key file, the connection to the server is successful but from there, server-side, of course, there are no options to pull the project with the laptop.

In General, prompt please as correctly git remote add origin SSH over?

Understood. Everything is quite simple.
I included the authorization server password, and then threw the key pair that you generated when you create droplet using PuTTY for the manual from digitalocean, and then generated new keys at another manual from them, more simple and adequate way. Sent them, as written in the manual, on the server login password. Now the connection to the server and the repository via SSH is successful.
What I earlier not guessed, keys need to be stored in C:\Users\user\.ssh
You can now disable password authentication.

You messed up the key from the server key repository.
The key repository must lie on the server itself, not on the local computer.

Do everything through github
Or get what ever your git server, gitolite or hitlab
Forgot to mention bitbucket - Mabel commented on June 7th 19 at 15:52
