How to get external IP address on your equipment with GPON from MGTS/Rostelecom?

Plan to connect GPON from MGTS/Rostelecom, the provider provides a subscriber terminal (ONT) which can simultaneously act as a router in the home network. There is a desire as a home router to use their own equipment and, therefore, to obtain the external IP address directly on it. Does anyone have some experience with such configuration?

Based on the results of the search by the topic in the Toaster and other sources, found the following possible options:
A) to Configure the ONT in Bridge mode, and raise the session on your own equipment.
B) Buy a compatible SFP module (ONU) and not to use ONT.

In both variants remain unclear following points:
1) do I understand Correctly that GPON uses PPPoE to authorize subscribers?
2) some sources mention any VLAN number - what are they for?
3) How to set up your TV and phone (triple play)?

Thank you

Solution
Rostenkowski router in bridge mode (you can call tech support to ask), your equipment to lift PPPoE session.
if the provider allows this, it is the most profitable option. - Alene53 commented on March 19th 20 at 08:31
@Alene53, you can search in the Internet passwords from the admin panels or on some models of Huawei, you can download conifg there to see. Both had to use. - Skyla_Hodkiewicz commented on March 19th 20 at 08:34

Rostelecom will not allow to change anything in their glands. And even more so to connect something left. RTK - the people are very simple - "don't eat".

UPD:
Full access with left engineering password you can get (probably). But there are two things:
- not the fact that changing settings with this password will not trigger a "red light" in monitoring the provider, and he stupidly will overwrite all changes to the default config and change the password
- left for the use of the engineering password is the least that can happen is the termination of the contract.
In our region TP to contact and no problem change mode. - Skyla_Hodkiewicz commented on March 19th 20 at 08:33
@Skyla_Hodkiewicz, Well, You're in luck. :) - natalia_Herzog64 commented on March 19th 20 at 08:36

Just need to forward the ports.

To set ONT in Bridge mode, and raise the session on your own equipment.
In most cases, it's impossible. You have no rights to change some settings on the equipment of the provider.
To purchase compatible SFP module (ONU) and not to use ONT.
It's impossible. Even if you find and purchase compatible hardware provider will not connect to the network left the equipment.

  1. Yes.
  2. To separate the networks on which there is access to the Internet and stream IPTV
  3. The question is not clear.
Artem, thanks for Your response.

In most cases, it's impossible. You have no rights to change some settings on the equipment of the provider.

That might be so. But people somehow come into the web interface of the equipment and change settings. As I understand it, at all ONT the same model within the same provider use the same pair of login and password, which walks in the network. Not yet able to test it properly, since still only plan connection.

It's impossible. Even if you find and purchase compatible hardware provider will not connect to the network left the equipment.

Most likely, You are right. But this is the official position. Unofficially found mentions that you can use D-Link DPN-100 as the ONU, if the provider is on the Huawei OLT. ZTE, as I understand it, it is what--we have a problem. - ralp commented on March 19th 20 at 08:35

For it can do a-tat-tat. Here generally it is possible in principle under the article on illegal access to get. - destinee.Heathcote commented on March 19th 20 at 08:38

Limited user account.

As I understand it, at all ONT the same model within the same provider use the same pair of login and password going over the network
Why would it?

If you examine informally, it means that you have the contacts provider, you can ask what and how and what they are ready.

Rostelecom major network equipment in different places is different. For example, we as subscriber terminals are only used Eltex.
But manages subscriber equipment provider - a specialist company it is possible to connect to the router connected, to change the settings to centrally change the firmware on all devices in the network. - Rosalind_Osins commented on March 19th 20 at 08:41
And most importantly why? That prevents to put the equipment provider your router to do anything? - Rosalind_Osins commented on March 19th 20 at 08:44
@destinee.Heathcote, @ralp, my ISP settings on the terminal arrive at the tr69 and though anastaisa, but the settings of external interfaces will fly when you reboot. - Alene53 commented on March 19th 20 at 08:47
@Alene53I understand You correctly, there is no way to disable TR-069?

@Rosalind_Osins, initially consider this option, but its drawback for me is that your router will have a gray IP address (not the external static IP, which I buy from a provider). From this it follows that: a) will be double NAT stream; b) you need to push the ports on two devices. Overall, the ONT provider may become unstable, and I don't have him full access, which brings a certain moral discomfort.

@destinee.Heathcote, thank You for the warning. - ralp commented on March 19th 20 at 08:50
@ralp, you can turn off, but then you will not be able to connect to your ISP as data for authorization, you do not know, but the provider will not tell you. - Alene53 commented on March 19th 20 at 08:53
@ralp,
I understand You correctly that there is no way to disable TR-069?
Yes elementary - pulled the cable from the provider, and all.

A big problem in the dual broadcast not. If you can push the ports to the correct devices switch put after oborudovanie provider.
About the instability of work - refer to the provider will replace the equipment or change provider.
And about the discomfort provider most concerned about your comfort, and then your.
This is not a small parochial provider - here your condition will not deliver, do not agree to connect. But because optics no one else has to agree to their terms. - Rosalind_Osins commented on March 19th 20 at 08:56
