Where to save the logs plugin in Wordpress?

I wrote a plugin that sends requests in XML to another web service and processes the results. And I would like to keep requests to a different service and responses. I'm unfortunately not very familiar with the philosophy of Wordpress, and therefore such a silly question.
Where can I create a directory for the logs of the plugin to further changes in the plugin and when you update and upgrade the Wordpress these logs not to lose?

To create a directory in wp-content/uploads or just to create a directory in wp-content? In the second case will not peresechetsya whether the contents?

Solution
Just create a directory in wp-content
As simple as simple my answer.

PS:
The wp - content folder can be renamed, use the constant.
- Do not re-overwrite.
