When to stop supporting Windows 10?

My friend has a PC with Windows 7. Recently popped up a warning that on January 14, 2020, the release of security updates for Win7 will stop and he approached me with a request to help with the upgrade to Win10.
However, Google, Wikipedia, and a bunch of different sites talking about the fact that the main support Win10 will stop 13.10.2020. And if so, does it make sense to pay almost 10 thousand wooden, for just 10 months full support system?
True memory slips me the information that Win10 was going to translate into a Roll-up scheme to issue all of the updates, that is, without release of new versions of the system. But the evidence could not be found.

PS the Question is important because the system will buy in any case, not pirates.
