What is blob and how to use it to protect videos from downloading?
Hello, I have this question today: "What is a blob and how it can help protect videos from downloading and how to say it?"
On YouTube seen is that just because I can't download the video, and a link to it consists of random characters and starts with "blob:". After long journeys on the Internet I only found how to do it on the client side, but on the protection of the content here, and speech is not.
I came to the conclusion That the blob reference must be created on the server side. But I don't know...
There is such a technology "HLS" or "HTTP Live Streaming". The point is that on the server the file is stored (video) broken into pieces (chunks), the client requests the desired piece and plays it. Therefore, the client does not receive the whole file and all the information about it, and gets it in pieces. So you can protect videos from downloading.

Jora blob == "Binary Large Object" in this case means the video file.
How to use BLOB to protect the BLOB - the science is unknown.

As. blob is an interface which may be presented with a link to the file. You can get the content via ajax to put it into blob and specify as the src for the file. But to protect content, you can not, because of the openness of data.
