Real programming tasks?

Hi all. Learn C++, but the theory is a little disgusted..
No, I understand how important this is, but when you have no idea what to do in your first day as a programmer, it becomes a little sad. But if we allow the idea that what I'm doing now ("write a program to sort an array"), and there is programming I want to quit.
In this regard, I decided to seek help from the community.
Maybe someone will offer at least close to real life tasks? Or perhaps there's some service or something?
In General, I hope pontyano explained the problem.
Thank you.

Write to the web server and the browser.

Go to the freelance exchange and see what are the tasks, try to do something for yourself.
As written above, but why learn if you do not see the application?
I just like the process itself.
Not really.. the Application I see just don't know what will happen at work. Any!
I, for example, wrote its simple chat on sockets with WinAPI played. - genoveva_Thi commented on March 23rd 20 at 18:55
@genoveva_Thi,
The use I see, just don't know what will work.

I seriously wrote, take a walk on the exchange of freelancing, look at what you want, try not as an order(although you can try to respond, suddenly choose), but more for himself to realize the required in some job functions. +- will the same requirements at work - Zion commented on March 23rd 20 at 18:58

All tasks are summarized as such "bricks". Of course, sorting to implement will not have to (the level of abstraction is higher, the algorithm is already implemented, just need to specify the comparison criterion), but on real projects everything is very prosaic - fence data from the database and return them in the desired format (that is, if the backend) or receiving data, displaying them in the view and reaction to user actions (if the frontend)
