Why links overlaps the background image, and they are not usable even if they put a higher priority z-index?

Put the image tag before the links and references set a high priority, but the end links are still not clickable, it is obvious that the image overlaps the link button. How to celebrate and see why z-index doesn't work in this case?

Check the zindex of the parent links.
none of the elements in the group is not exposed to the priority(including the container), only these links - Kevo commented on March 23rd 20 at 19:00
all found, z-index doesn't work without the position property - Kevo commented on March 23rd 20 at 19:03
@Kevo, with that we had to start ;) of course not. You code is not added to the question, but it would be faster to understand :) - Cesar_Koe commented on March 23rd 20 at 19:06
@Cesar_Koeif the images do not interact with the user, it can be a way to try to apply pointer-events: none on img, then click will pass through the picture and touch the link)) - austin commented on March 23rd 20 at 19:09

I could be wrong , try the picture to register position:relative; and set smaller z-index than the shortcuts.
