Why not finish gulp.watch gulp 4?

Good afternoon.
Set up your gulp(1 time) and encountered a problem. when you are writing watcher it doesn't give error, but does not work correctly.
when you write gulp watch it starts but not finish. What could be the problem?

Here's the code I have

var gulp = require('gulp'),
sass = require('gulp-sass');

/* task for sass from the sass folder */
gulp.task('sass', function () {
return gulp.src('app/sass/**/*.sass')

gulp.task('watch', function () {
gulp.watch('app/sass/**/*.sass', gulp.parallel['sass']);

So it should not finish. You give him the command to watch and when changes to initiate any action.
Yes, thanks for the explanation.
Just the tutorial that I watch, he finishes5cf8cdb15c09d225405758.jpeg
Maybe it's a different version of gulp - stanley.Schowalter commented on March 23rd 20 at 19:24
