MySQL Connections. What is it?

Good afternoon. I'm a novice in the study of databases and the question is probably very noob. But I don't know where to find the information you need and how to ask the right question. I would be grateful for any response.
Actually a question, can you explain what information is shown on the screenshot? In MySQL means 56072 thousands of Connections? What do Aborted_connects?

Is it normal that the mysqld with so many Threads_connected is 1919 mb of RAM? Or are these things not connected?

Solution
Connections a little interesting is the *total* number since the start of the server.
A properly configured server, most of the memory is not used for Connections, and to store as much of the database in memory.
